History

North Garden Volunteer Fire Company was formed in 1970 with approximately 30 charter members.  They began with a 2 bay building, later adding 2 additional bays in 1974.  Over the years the company has evolved and more space was necessary.  In 1999, NGVFC completed a building addition that added 3 larger bays, a break/TV room, and 2 bunk rooms.  One bunk room as since been converted to an exercise workout facility.
